If you are instructed by local authorities to evacuate your home due to a forest fire threat it is NOT necessary for you to turn off your gas valve. Colorado Natural Gas, Inc. will control the gas pressures to threatened neighborhoods and will reduce or cut off the natural gas supply to affected homes and subdivisions as the situation warrants.
